Producers: Avignonesi Capannelle
The company owes its name to the historic founding family Avignonesi.
Thanks to decades of research and development in viticulture, Avignonesi has become one of the most important wine houses in Tuscany. The original goal was to "reveal" the essence of the Montepulciano terroir. Virginie Saverys took over Avignonesi in 2009, since then she has introduced the methods of organic viticulture. Its purpose was to produce distinctive, genuine and even more stylish wines. Wines are produced, which reflect the different cultivation locations as well as the different organoleptic characteristics of the vintages. Wines will certainly be produced that will continue to tell the riches and beauty of the areas of Montepulciano and Cortona. For centuries, the Sangiovese grape has been the basis of Montepulciano wines. This wine is estimated and maintained on the estate. Avignonesi stands for the innate character of a wine and try to accompany it as naturally as possible from the bottom to the cellar and ultimately to the bottle.
