In the nose this Pinot Noir reveals a delightful aroma of ripe red berries and cherry along with delicate oak flavours. On the palate nice oaky flavours together with ripe fruit aromas. Long finish.
This Pinot Noir is aged for 12 months in small oak barrels.
The winery Marugg is located on the northern edge of the wine-growing village Fläsch. Around the village, the accompanying vines grow on various plots on the cone of the Fläscher mountain and at the foot of the Falknis mountain.
The foundation stone for the winery was laid during the goods improvement in the late sixties. In 1976, Father Daniel Marugg pressed his first wine, which he bottled and marketed the following year.
He quickly gained a loyal clientele and was able to continuously expand production. In 1995, Daniel and Monika Marugg took over the winery. Since 1998, the wines are sold under the name Bovel. "Bovel" is a Romanisch field name, and is called ox willow. The wine cellar is located there.
The climatic conditions and the calcareous soil in the Fläscher field are ideal conditions for the grape variety Pinot Noir.
