History

The Tenuta Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona war in the Middle Ages of the historic "Bishop's Palace" Palazzo del Vescovo, in front of Countess Eva Bernini Da Francesco's daughter Elda and Alberto Piccolomini d'Aragona, the direct descendant of Pope Pius II. He belongs to the recognize only to own, own, own. In addition to the self-managed winery, the labels of Giuseppe's wines also arise from ideas. Today, Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is one of the best and most distinguished companies among the well over 200 Brunello groups.

Drivers pass the 200 hectare country estate when they drive on the dirt road from Castelnuovo dell'Abate to Sant'Angelo in Colle. The vines are not far from the court of Orcia at an altitude of between 240 and 360 meters to the southeast. The grapes are placed in the palazzo, where visitors can view the cellar vault, which dates from the 17th century. The new 2,500 larger, large Molinello cellar makes its way into the picturesque surroundings and serves as the headquarters and wine shop. He has northern rights for vinification, rights in wood discovery, but also in temperature-controlled cement vat controls. The estate's finest grapes are destined for Brunello Pianrosso and Brunello Riserva Vigna di Pianrosso.

Today the family business is owned by Giuseppe's children Paolo and Lucia Bianchini. Both helped build the new wine cellar, led by their own living father. The siblings also have to take care of the new parcels in Montecuccio, which were added every year. There the terroir of Montalcino finds its geological and microclimatic continuation.
