Dark garnet red, with varied and complex aromas of herbs, spices, prunes and some tobacco. Fine elegance with silky tannins.
Only the best Sangiovese grapes are selected. The wine is fermented spontaneously in wooden vats and then aged for 42 months in 30hl Slovenian oak barrels. The wine is bottled unfiltered.
The best grapes are selected from Castelnuovo dell'Abata, from vineyards at 200-400 m.a.s.l. The soil is rocky and primarily marl.
