In the nose ripe dark berry fruit, blackberry, blueberry, sweet wood and a hint of lavender. Full-bodied, elegant on the palate, accompanied by a pleasant acidity and freshness. Velvety soft tannins. Long-lasting finish.
The vinification takes place since 2014 in stainless steel tank. After that goes the wine for aging 6-18 months in used French oak barrels.
Booker Vineyard is biodynamically farmed. Biodynamic agriculture follows the ideas of Rudolf Steiner, who pursues a holistic approach to agriculture and describes that all things on the farm (including soil and plants) are interconnected. Like many winemakers, they were initially skeptical of the concept. At some point it has been discovered that if these farming methods are good enough for some of the world's most demanding wineries, why not try it? So far, it has been shown that the biodynamic management at Booker Vineyard, the health and balance of the vineyards has greatly improved.
The vineyards are farmed according to the biodynamic guidelines.
