Jean-Louis Trapet in Gevrey-Chambertin and his wife Andrée Trapet in Riquewihr lead a vinous "double life" with two exemplary biodynamically managed wineries, a "red" one in Burgundy and a "white" one in Alsace. If the day and the opportunity are right, then the Gewürztraminer with its wonderfully baroque exuberance and beguiling rose aromas brings an incomparable wine experience. A light, natural residual sweetness and a honey note complete the sensual experience in Trapets Gewürztraminer Beblenheim.
Domaine Trapet is one of the top producers in Gevrey-Chambertin. The traditional family business under the management of Andrée and Jean-Louis Trapet has plots in the Grand Cru locations Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin and others. Jean-Louis Trapet has been successfully cultivating the vineyards since 1985 and is convincing according to biodynamic standards. The vinification is very classic with a dosed use of wood also for the Grand Crus; the wines are very reserved in colour and first taste impression.
