A creation of different white wines from the vineyards in Fläsch and Bad Ragaz. Fresh, fruity with a very subtle woody note, originating from the Chardonnay.
The grapes are gently pressed and vinified in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The chardonnay grape used in this cuvée is vinified in big oak barrels.
The winery Marugg is located on the northern edge of the wine-growing village Fläsch. Around the village, the accompanying vines grow on various plots on the cone of the Fläscher mountain and at the foot of the Falknis mountain.
The foundation stone for the winery was laid during the goods improvement in the late sixties. In 1976, Father Daniel Marugg pressed his first wine, which he bottled and marketed the following year.
He quickly gained a loyal clientele and was able to continuously expand production. In 1995, Daniel and Monika Marugg took over the winery. Since 1998, the wines are sold under the name Bovel. "Bovel" is a Romanisch field name, and is called ox willow. The wine cellar is located there.
On the schistous bottoms of the Fläscher Halde, the white varieties Chardonnay, Reisling x Sylvaner, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris are grown. These wines are characterized by a moderate alcohol content by their freshness and minerality.
