Located in the historic center of Wiltingen, the winery Van Volxem dates back to Roman times. From the 11th century, the winery was rediscovered by the monks and finally built in 1743 as a monastery vineyard. As a result of the French Revolution, the winery came into the possession of the immigrated from Brussels brewer Gustav van Volxem. With the rise of Moselle wines around the year 1900, the flowering of Van Volxem began. After more than four generations in the van Volxem family, Roman Niewodniczanski took over the farm in 2000, restored it and expanded it. At the winery Van Volxem there is a spirit of timelessness. It is the passion for good wine, the pursuit of perfection. With knowledge, trust, time for the essentials and patience, they create intriguing wines of inestimable value.
